SARS-COV-2 Infection and Anti-Tuberculosis Immunity: Temporal Association or Real Protective Role?

Introduction: According to the literature consulted date, there is epidemiological heterogeneity of Covid-19 between countries depending on their vaccination policy, in particular BCG vaccination. These findings have led several hypotheses, including protective role immunity induced by tuberculosis vaccine against infection. The significantly increases secretion pro-inflammatory cytokines, IL-1B, which has been shown play an essential antiviral immunity. This cross-immunity, although not specific, if highlighted, a real providence that must be taken advantage face this pandemic. main objective study rule out or confirm anti-tuberculosis protects SARS-COV-2 our context. Material and Methods: Two groups will compared: cases infected with virus controls who never virus. Both case control undergo tuberculin skin test: intra dermal reaction (IDR). Results: We found group had high IDR value, positive percentage 67.2%. suggests factor coronavirus disease. Conclusion: hypothesis nonspecific protection deserves further verification studies; it would large repercussions for developing countries.
